DIY – Paper Rubik’s Cube

Dror Vomberg made a pure paper cube fully functional Rubik’s cube completely from paper, although it is not the first twisty puzzle build from paper a card-box Dino cube by Robert Webb was the first twisty puzzle from paper. But a fully working paper Rubik’s Cube is quite unique.

Orb Puzzle

Also this year attendees of the Annual Rapid Manufacturing Event in North America are “challenged” to collect and assemble nine pieces that make up a puzzle model.

This year the puzzle is Joel Roemhild’s Orb puzzle after last years Cryptex puzzle. Joel won the Rapid Challenge Design Competition with his Orb Puzzle. Exhibitors are challenged to demonstrate their accuracy, material qualities, and finishes by producing a piece of the puzzle so that it fits properly in the final assembly.
