World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle ?

Last year the largest puzzle maker of Europe, Ravensburger, has celebrated its 125th anniversary with a remarkable stunt. Almost 15,000 enthusiastic puzzle fans completed a puzzle of 1,141,800 pieces in the German town Ravensburg.

This week (October 7th) Dutch supermarket Albert Heijn (part of major international supermarket operator Ahold) will go for a new World Record for Jigsaw Puzzles.

Clients of almost 600 Albert Heijn supermarkets completed parts of upcoming world’s largest jigsaw puzzle which will be completed in the Olympic Stadium of Amsterdam.

Albert Heijn hopes to make world’s largest jigsaw puzzle which consist of 1,209,600 jigsaw pieces (809 square meters = approx. 8708 square feet).
