Archimedes’ Square is the world’s oldest documented brain teaser puzzle. Developed by famous Greek mathematician Archimedes circa 250 BC.
This Tangram-like set consists of 14 solid wood polygons, of varying sizes and shapes, that combine to form a square. There are now hundreds (536 solutions at last count) known solutions for recombining the tiles into the original square.
Archimedes Square Stomachion Puzzle can be used like a Tangram for creating other shapes and as a discussion piece for math education. For ages 5+.
