Weblog > Pi Day : Pi Sudoku and Pi Day Challenge
Today it’s Pi Day,a holiday commemorating the mathematical constant ? (pi). Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 (or 3/14 in month/day date format), since 3, 1 and 4 are the three most significant digits of ? in the decimal form.
Pi Sudoku is a Sudoku originally created for Pi Day. To solve Pi Sudoku follow the following rules: Fill in the grid so that each row, column, and jigsaw region contains 1-9 exactly once and ? three times.
Another way to celebrate Pi Day is to take the Pi Day Challenge a series of puzzles that are logic-based. A team of logicians adapted or created these puzzles – some require research, some require mathematics, some require pure savvy. Happy Puzzling!
