When I first saw a picture of the Cubetresor, I was intrigued, to say the least. When I first got to hold it in my hands, I was fascinated with its pure beauty and superb feel and appearance.
It is so well made and the different woods and angles give it an elegant look. There is nothing about how it is put together that gives the slightest hint as to how it might be taken apart. As a matter of fact, it felt so good to hold and twist and turn; I almost thought it would be fun not to be able to take it apart, and spoil the mystery. All I could do was to twist, shake, squeeze, push, pull, rotate, from every angle possible; when my Aha! Moment occurred and it started to open. Just for fun, I’ll tell you there are only 4 pieces. There you go, but it won’t help you open it one bit! When I read the reviews later on, I read that when rotated around, you could hear something move or rattle inside. Mine, however was silent. I guess, from knowing that, the rattle has nothing to do with the solution. Now mine rattles too.
This puzzle was designed and made by Vaclav Obsivac of the Czech Republic.
