The “A” Puzzle is a rather simple looking puzzle but is a bit trickier than it looks. I played with it for a while without removing the long handle from the “A”. A second attempt took a little extra thought and maneuvering but it was then seen how it could come off. Like all wire puzzles, they seem impossible and only “brute Force” and bending the wire will accomplish solving it. Such force, is not needed and using it will only destroy the puzzle. This puzzle is quite popular and has been around for many [Read More...]

The Big 30 puzzle is a bit special for me as it represents my recent entry into the 30′s. It was designed by Allan Stein and it was his exchange puzzle at IPP 30 in 2010.
As the name suggests, the puzzle is comprised of two main pieces in the shape of a 3 and a 0, and a string with a bead at the end. The string can’t be moved [Read More...]
Go Round is a point scoring puzzle app. You must score enough points to move to the next level.
This is a difficult game to describe. The object is to make groups of 3 on the concentric rings. 3 matching colors on the outer ring will shoot inward to become 1 on the next inner ring.
You can have a chain reaction. But I’m not sure about the exact point scoring system. This much I know: promoting a color from the outermost ring to the innermost will yield a lot of points. I have not figured out [Read More...]
The Panic Attack is a very attractive entanglement puzzle. It is very sturdy and will withstand a lot of use. The metal is a heavy stainless steel wire and won’t bend unless an unusual, and unnecessary force, is applied, The gold ring that entwines the heart is made of strong nylon, and will also stand up to a lot of use. The only thing that could go wrong with this puzzle, would be if someone applied so much pressure to the cord that they were to break it; even then it could be mended with glue [Read More...]
