Ambigear Cube is looks like a 4x4x4 Rubik’s Cube with a gearing mechanism inside. Its name is from “ambiguous gearing”. In a regular gearing mechanism, all parts have direct interaction with each other and if you block one part then the other parts are blocked as well. Well as for the mechanism of ambigear cube, it works differently. There is a gearing mechanism at the top and bottom of this puzzle cube. You can look all the way through the puzzle. The gearing ratio is 12:6:24. Everything is fixed nicely in this cube.
If you lock the top two layers to each other then the top two still mesh. This also works same for the bottom two layers and middle two layers. This kin d of mechanism is what makes this puzzle cube extremely challenging to solve. You can actually twist and bend your brain with this kind of puzzle toy. Dare to play and see how far your puzzle skills can go. You can purchase this puzzle toy at Puzzle Master.
