This is a fairly basic wooden string puzzle. It is well made of exotic Southeast Asian wood.  As to difficulty, on a range of 1-5 , I would rate it a 2.  Hence it would be a good choice for getting started with this type of puzzle.  There are many, many of this type and some can be very challenging.  This puzzle isn’t very intimidating at first glance.  Hence; anyone , whatever their age or puzzle solving ability, will want to “give it a try”.  It will be a challenge , but once solved, it will not provide many future hours of challenge and enjoyment. It doesn’t have a set of instructions, as it’s obvious what has to be done, so just keep trying different twists, loops, twists and turns, until you reach that Aha! moment, when the ring comes off.
