This work definitely proves that Erik Johansson is a Photoshop guru. I was completely astounded in this cover up road illusion. I am a proud fan of Eric for his exceptional creative visualizations. He has exhibited his impressive talent and proficiency in creating a deceptive background.
About the Cut & Fold
Erik Johansson had created this impossible but photorealistic image that perfectly captured the idea of Cut & Fold. This is another masterwork where Erik has used principles to make a dreamlike scenario come to life, while keeping it visually believable. This artwork exhibits his specialization when it comes to setting up a realistic background in which the entire course is complex and perplexing.
About the Artist
Erik Johansson was born in 1985 outside a small town called Getene in the middle of Sweden. Erik grew up on a farm with his parents and two younger sisters. He also got interested in computers. At the age of 15, he got his first digital camera which opened up a new world for him. Erik didn’t considered photography a profession until years later.
In 2005, he moved to Gothenburg to study Computer engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. After publishing some of his images online, Erik started to receive requests about commissioned work from some local advertisement agencies. He started out freelancing in parallel with his studies while still working on personal projects. He got more and more jobs and at the time he finished his studies with a master in Interaction Design. Erik felt like he wanted to try out the photography path. He moved to Norrk ping in the eastern part of Sweden to start working full time as a freelance photographer. Erik made new friends and got to work on interesting projects, both local and abroad. In early 2012 it was time for something new and he moved to Berlin, Germany a very artistic city with lots of inspiration.
