I was intrigued when I first saw this Great Wall artwork. I find it a clever idea to use an encyclopedia in carving a mini replication of the Great wall. It is interesting because the miniature comes in great detail.

About the Great Wall

This Great Wall artwork is a historiographical masterwork. This encyclopedia was named after The Great Wall of America, a huge project that planned to build an insurmountable wall around the United States of America in order to defend the territory from the assaults of barbarian conquerors. The Chinese Empire then ordered a group of scribes to transcribe The Great Wall series. Through an extraordinary twist of fate they discovered the ancient sources of their own civilization, which the new Middle Kingdom had long ago removed from its archives. This altered book measures 23 x 13 x 30 cm (9 x 7 x 12 inches).
