Wonder Wall just looks like a rug on the floor with something under it, causing it to bunch up, but it is truly amazing to think that it is an oil on canvas painting. Antonio has a very scrupulous eye for detail allowing the eye to be deceived, giving his audience great awe and inspiration.

About the Wonder Wall Oil Canvas

This hyper-realistic Wonder Wall was painted by Antonio Santin using oil on canvas in 2014. It measures 73×110 inches or 185x280cm. Antonio manipulated the wonder wall form to create a space which he defines as more real than reality itself. He integrated the technical fundamentals of classical painting and startling modifications to the potentials of oil paint to reconstruct the sensory experiences of daily life.

About the Artist

Antonio Santin is a brilliant painter from Madrid, Spain. His creative work is internationally recognized and even included in many private collections. He created the Rug Series which progressed from his interest in the way fabric covers the body with patterns and textures.
