This puzzle is way over-hyped, IMHO. I checked it out last weekend too and was sorely disappointed. Calling it a Rubik's Cube is confusing as the faces don't rotate as you expect. In fact this puzzle is more closely related to those where you have to press colored buttons in a certain order.
Must say that you are right, I am also a bit disappointed. But again it is a new puzzle and as you all know I love puzzles ;-)
