Color Rush is a combination of Othello and Chinese Checkers. You start as the white crystal on the lower left corner and pick colors to expand your field. Your opponent is the black gem at the right top corner. You win if you grab more than half of the crystals. Lightning Bugs is a variant of the puzzle game called Samegame (originally invented in 1985 as Chain Shot). You have to clear each level by casting your magic spell to capture the lightning bugs. Cast your spell on groups of the same color to clear them quickly. Capturing a single lightning bug requires the use of a crystal ball (shown at the left bottom of the screen). Beware, you must clear the level before the timer runs out!

Bloomin' Gardens is another addictive Flash Puzzle Game. In Bloomin' Gardens you'll have to put your green fingers to the test and try to keep the garden manageable.
Plants are growing faster than you can pick them. For each plant you move three new plants are added to the game board. Your objective is to replace the plants in a single row of five or more plants to clear some space. The more plants in a single row the more points you get. Be aware there must be an 'open' path between the place you pick your plant and the place where you want to put the plant.
Use your mouse to move the plants, drag a plant to an empty space (move + left mouse button) or click on the plant you want to move and click again at the location where your want to put the plant back again. Happy Puzzling !!!

Gems Flash Puzzle Game is a variant of the world famous puzzle game Bejeweled.
The difference is in the shape of the gems. In Bejeweled the are in rows and columns and in Gems they are in a Hexagon shape where you have to try to match similar colored gems in groups of three or more (triangle shape). Every time you do that, you will get points and more time is added to the clock. Once you collect enough colored gems, try to match black gems to get to the next level.
Use your mouse to rotate gems. You can click the blue button in bottom right corner to change the direction of rotation.

You have to twist, turn and rotate three circles so you align different colored balls the same color of the center ball. Game controls are simple, use the arrow keys to rotate the circles and rows. Use the space bar to randomize the middle orb. Simple and fun for a (short) while.

Connect-it is a nice Flash puzzle game and is similar to Mahjong in some ways, but different in others.
Your main objective is to remove image pairs (with some kind of dog on it) and clear the game board of all the monkeys gets to the top of the vines at the left side of the screen.
Pairs can only be removed if they have at least one open side and are a maximum of two turns away from each other. There is an exception to this rule - if to identical 'dog-images' are sitting next to one another, they can be removed without the need for an open side. Accumulate spinning coins to buy power ups. The faster you are the more coins you get.

During a business trip to Paris I walked by a toy-store. From the outside it looked rather small. As usual I went inside to look for new puzzles and to my surprise I discovered a reasonable large toy store nearby the Champs-Élysées. Inside the toystore I found the K-Ball Puzzle including and CD-rom. The K-Ball is available in three variations: K-8 (a 2x2x2 puzzle), K-27 (a 3x3x3 puzzle), and K-32 (a 2x2x2 with rotating face-centers). The K-Ball Puzzle I found is a K-8 (a 2x2x2 puzzle) version. Object is to twist and turn until all six colored rings consist of one color. The quality is not that good and I think if you give it to a six years old kid it will be broken within one day. The CD-Rom which was also included in the packaging is very nice. It contains a PC version of the K-Ball puzzle where you can choose twelve different skins and try to solve the K-Ball Puzzle. The CD also contains a description on how to solve the K-Ball Puzzle. This definitely helps you to solve K-Ball. Ball size: 3" (7.5 cm) in diameter and is recommended for ages 6 and older.

Sliding Block is a nice designed Flash puzzle game and has similarities of Fifteen Puzzle and Rush Hour.
Object is to move the red block outside of the frame. Game-play is not really handy as you really have to drag and drop the block with your mouse if you want to move a block in stead of just clicking on them (like in a lot of other puzzles like fifteen puzzle).

A white candle means one of the cards is in the right position. Unfortunately, the Spirit cannot tell which card is right. You have to deduce the correct pattern of cards by trying different spells. Objective is to keep the black cat on the grid and let him not escape the grid. You can do this by strategic placing blocks on the grid which the cat can not pass. You need a bit of luck at the start of this puzzle game where a random number of blocks are already random placed on the grid.

Gear Puzzle is one of the games featuring in the Jay Is Games Casual Gameplay Design Competition. Without any explanation it's clear what the objective is of this simple but lovely Flash Puzzle Game
A small blue character with big puppy-dog eyes catches sight of a pink character locked in a cage. The cage is chained to a gear suspended from the top of the screen. Pegs line the wall and various sized gears are scattered around. Helpless but heroic, the blue guy does the only thing he can to help: jumps on the gear across the room and starts spinning it. Your job is to arrange gears on the pegs to transfer the motion across the room to lower the cage.
There is more than one solution so you can experimenting with gear combinations, but you do have to put some thought into your actions. The gears must come in contact with each other in order to keep the movement going.
Gear Puzzle will keep you puzzling for a while, enjoy.

Reverse Engineering is a lovely Flash puzzle game by Biometric Game Studios.
This Puzzle game is called Reverse Engineering as accoording to Wikipedia Reverse engineering (RE) is the process of discovering the technological principles of a device or object or system through analysis of its structure, function and operation and that is exactly what you have to do to solve these 38 puzzles.
The goal is to make a perfect copy of the right window in the left one. You play in the left window and you can select blocks with the mouse my dragging a frame over them. Move the marked blocks clockwise or counter-clockwise with the arrow buttons. The catch is that each level is timed, and running out of time will cause the level to restart. For each level solved a password is given so you can always return.
In my opinion the moving background of the screen is very disturbing and can not be turned off where the nice lounge music is relaxing and can be put on mute. Reverse Engineering should at least keep you busy for a while.

Next to the original Flash Puzzle Game Socoban (Japanese for Warehouse keeper), there is also a 3D version of this game called Isometric Sokoban. Socoban is a transport puzzle game first created in 1980.

A few days ago I blogged about a very simple escape the room puzzle game called Jail Escape. If you are up for the real work you definitely have to try Escape The Phone Boot. Although there are less Phone Boots can be found in the streets due to mobile phones
Object (obviously )is to escape from The Phone Booth. As usual, there is no plot behind your encasement. All that matters is that you need to escape! The queue of items at your disposal is extremely limited, so you need to make the best of what you can in such a tight space.
This challenge makes good use of the telephone, which brings a new batch of audio puzzles to the point-and-click atmosphere. Unfortunately, this also means that you must be able to hear the audible content to advance within the game (negative points for accessibility).
One thing I dislike about Escape the Phone Boot is the arrow you have to use to point things, it does not feel very accurate, but for the rest it's a brilliant puzzle game. Enjoy.

Mr. Shortz will host the Springfield event with his long-time friend Doug Heller, who is running for Commissioner in Springfield. Delta Fusion is a Flash Puzzle Game which is not completely finished yet, but you can play it already online.
Objective is to make triangle and hexagon shapes out of a single color to start a reaction. You have to use the arrow keys to control the board (left-arrow = rotate board counter clockwise and right arrow = rotate board clockwise) or the pieces (up-arrow = rotate piece clockwise and down-arrow = rotate piece counter clockwise). With the space bar you can pause the game.
While a reaction is in progress you may rotate the board may to tumble the pieces into forming new shapes. When several shapes are made in close proximity any triangles which are overlapped by two or more shapes are turned white. White triangles may be incorporated into a shape of any color, and the largest combos come from getting a huge number of white triangles. One hint for Delta Fusion: there is a shape which starts an infinite combo.

Ring Pass Not is a lovely Flash puzzle game by Sandhill Games with 30 puzzles to solve. Object of Ring Pass Not is to drag the tiles shown at the left into the magic ring to prevent the dragon from incinerating you. This puzzle requires some thought. The first level is easy as there are less restrictions (just matching symbols). Later on you have to match also colors next to the symbols. You can score bonus tools and power-ups by completing special combos of tiles. Collecting these tools will help you advance further in this game.
Ring Pass Not offers you two different game modes, depending on whether you want a quick game against the clock, or a more casual game without time limits.

The Jury's Grand Price Winner of the Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition is the Void Cube designed by Katsuhiko Okamoto.
The first thing you will notice is that there are no center cubes. Goal of Void Cube is to scramble the Void Cube, and then restore all faces, like Rubik's Cube. In some cases, it will appear that there is no solution to this cube; it is a second puzzle to figure why this happens. The cube is made of ABS resin.

The puzzle strategy game Fox and Geese is the latest addition to my puzzle collection. This strategy puzzle game is made by Aarikka in Finland.
How to play the game? The fox (black pin) is placed in the middle of the board, and 13 geese (blank pins) are placed on one side of the board. The fox and geese can move to any empty space around them (also diagonally). The fox can jump over geese like in checkers, capturing them. Repeated jumps are possible. Unlike in Halatafl (and in checkers), capturing is not mandatory. The geese win if they surround the fox so that it cannot move. The fox wins if it captures enough geese that the remaining geese cannot surround it anymore. Game variants with 15 and 17 geese are also possible.

According to wikipedia a Manifold is an abstract mathematical space which, in a close-up view, resembles the spaces described by Euclidean geometry. In this Flash puzzle game you'll have to run, jump and bend gravity to your will to cross dizzying heights and insurmountable slopes. They are no problem with the Gravitational Manifold Anomaly Device. Don’t get mad, get GMAD!
Game Instructions: Arrows or A, W, and D to move. Spacebar to retrieve anomalies. Click and hold mouse to aim, drag in direction of desired gravity, then release to fire. R restarts the current level.

BlackFlip is a very nice and in a way also a original Flash Puzzle Game. It's look a bit like LightsOut but now you have only one opportunity to solve the puzzle. Some of you with a Nintendo recognize in this puzzle game Polarium
Aim of BlackFlip is to remove all tokens from the board. To achieve this, you have to draw a path over the board while holding down the left mouse button. Your path cannot intersect itself, nor it can't be diagonal. All tokens underneath the path you just painted will change their color to the opposite after releasing the left mouse button. About five months ago I already wrote about Number Maze, which has been renamed to Hour Maze which is much more logic as you will read later on.
Also you can now solve Hour Mazes online at the Hour Maze website.
Hour Maze is a Sudoku-like maze puzzle that uses the number pattern from a clock face, one through twelve. Players must link these numbers in either direction – clockwise or counter clockwise – through the maze to solve the puzzle according to the rules.

RULES
1. Place any number, from 1 to 12, in each square of the maze.
2. Numbers must run in some sequence from 1 to 12 or 12 to 1, like on a clock face.
3. Each number's 'neighbor' — any square above or below, to left or to right, NOT separated by a maze wall (diagonals are not neighbors) — must be one of the two numbers nearest on a clock. For instance, a 6 can only be next to a 7 or a 5. The number 12 can have either an 11 or a 1 as neighbors, and a 1 can only have a 12 or a 2 next to it.
4. In a 12x12 maze, you must use twelve of each of the numbers to complete the puzzle. In other words, you must us a total count of twelve 'sets' of 1 through 12. However, they do not have to be in twelve continuous 'runs' of 1 through 12.
5. In each maze, the grid size determines the solution requirements, as all mazes are multiples of twelve. For instance, in a 6x6 maze (36 squares), you would have to use three of each of the twelve numbers of 1 through 12 (12x3=36) to solve that puzzle. Again, they do not have to be in three continuous 'runs’ of 1 through 12.

Although everything is Japanese you can easily play this escape the room puzzle game as you only have to click on items you see. Yesterday I received an email form MD about a weblog called Minidoku (from mini and Sudoku). Minidoku's are like Sudoku's have a smaller grid (6x6), but harder to solve, they are deceptively simple, but can be quite tough.
Rules are as follows:
1) Standard sudoku rules apply for rows and columns but not for blocks defined by solid line around a colored area.
2) Each solid block must add up to a value X and all blocks of the same color must add up to the same value X.
3) The sum value may be different for each color.
4) It's possible for a number to be repeated in a block, as long as it doesn't appear more than once in any row or column.
Lovely Sudoku's for people who love Sudoku's with a twist, and this time you'll have to count numbers. Enjoy these lovely minidoku's.
