Beside the ridiculously non-obvious clues, the game has numerous bugs. Level 19 cannot be solved at all on many computers, and level 25 only works if you have the correct hardware. A lot of time is simply wasted on this game.
You are right, this puzzle game started so well, but after a few levels I experienced the same thing ... wasted some precious time :-(
