Room Fake is an Escape The Room type of puzzle game.

Object in Room Fake is to find yourself a way out of a room with an eclectic collection of objects, both whimsical and useful. Among other things, a painting depicting nursery rhymes, a toy dog statue, a number puzzle and the usual collection of screwdrivers and keys all aid you in finding a way out. The puzzles are mainly intuitive and of moderate difficulty, a nice way to spend a lunch break or unwind from work. And, to what I am sure will be the delight of some and the disappointment of others, the [tab] key cheat has not been disabled. You probably won't need to make much use of it, though; except for a few instances, pixel-hunting is no where to be found. Happy Puzzling !

We all know the problem when Rubik's Cube has more than three layers. They are very vunreable and break down very easily.

Quix Flash Puzzle Game

Quix is a nice and small flash puzzle game by LightForce.

Object is to line up same colored tiles vertically to clear them off the board. For this you do not only need puzzle skills but also speed as colored tiles are constantly added while you clear them. Happy puzzling !

Qink Flash Puzzle Game

Qink is a nice Flash puzzle game mixture of Tangram and Rubik's Cube by MyGame.com.

Object is to match the colored shapes as shown on the bottom of the screen to the cube. Select a part or more parts of the cube by clicking or clicking and dragging over them (the parts become grey). Shapes can be selected and matched no matter the angle of the cube. Once you have a shape selected, match it with a colored shape from your stack. Use you mouse, the WASD keys or arrow keys to rotate the cube.

There are two different game modes available: Fury is a fast paced shape matching think and twitch game and Patience is a puzzle game where the cube needs to be filled with only the shapes provided. Happy Puzzling !

Today I received an email that there are now even more levels of Puzzobomb to solve (a few weeks ago I already wrote about Puzzlebomb).

Object is to move blocks from the same color together (with same symbol - for people who suffer from color blindness) so they disappear. But be aware no single block can be left behind.

Hyper Cube is a maze based Flash puzzle game by Free Online Games.

Object is to escape the cube by figuring out this labyrinth of hallways and find the exit to each stage. Every stage is like a puzzle. There are all sorts of contraptions that can mutilate you instantly so be careful! A tip would be to try and rotate the cube by finding the room that does just this. If you liked the maze puzzle game Migration you will probably also like Scorching Earth as it is a similar kind of puzzle game.

Object of Scorching Earth is to burn enough land to win the level. You can spread your fire by spending "Burn Points". A single fire gains one "Burn Point" every time you press "Burn". But you will have to be careful, when a tile is completely burnt its fire will go out. Stay alive by spreading your fire at just the right moments. Blue fires also spread as you progress and rain in the only way to stop them. Happy puzzling !

Poux is a fast and challenging Flash puzzle game by Light Force.

Object is to to click on contiguous same colored tiles to remove them. Time is running fast and adds a new line of tiles at the bottom. Bombs can eliminate a whole line of tiles, but use them wizely.

Puzzle Museum

Dutchman and teacher Auke Reijenga (48) opened his own puzzle museum in a small Dutch city called Joure (website is in Dutch only).

Over the years Auke collected over fifty thousand puzzles which were all over his house and in a barn. Part of his puzzle collection (a few thousand) can now be viewed by puzzle lovers. There is also a part in the museum where kids can play with some puzzles. The puzzle museum has all kind of puzzles except for jigsaw puzzles. Auke and his wife solved almost all puzzles of his collection.

The museum hasn’t regular opening hours but will be open after you make an appointment (more details via the website of PuzzelMuseum.nl). Via [Leeuwardercourant.nl]

Blockdude - Flash Puzzle Game

Blockdude is a remake of an old TI-83 puzzle game called Blockdude, the original game was written by Brandon Sterner.

The objective of the game is to get to the exit, the door. The problem is that you can only move one step up at the time. So you need to move blocks in order to get there. There are eleven levels from the original game plus three bonus levels from another Windows remake. Use your arrow keys to move around (more instructions can be found at the website. Happy Puzzling!

AquaCubes is a nice Flash Puzzle Game by MoFunZone.

Object is to help your submarine form groups of the same colored squares to get fuel. You can do this by group four or more blocks of the same color. You can do this by sliding columns or rows with your mouse. Zebra Tile Puzzle

Zebra Puzzle is the latest addition to my puzzle collection and one of the three safari puzzles by Lagoon Puzzles. The other two are Tiger and Leopard.

Object is to arrange all 72 tiles to make a perfect square. You must match all heads and tails of the zebras on all tiles. All colors on the edge of the tiles must also match the adjacent tiles.

Via Give Me A Clue you can find two clues and the the complete solution.

Bunch - Flash Puzzle Game

Bunch is a nice Flash puzzle game by DevLabs Ltd.

The basic idea of Bunch is to create bunches of balls of the same color. This can be achieved by swapping adjacent balls with each other (horizontal or vertical only). The bigger the bunch the more points that a bunch is worth. However not every ball can be swapped with the one next to it. A valid swap is achieved when at least one of the two swapped balls have a ball of the same color next to it in its new position. Happy Puzzling !

Finally the demo of Trism is available via Demiforce.

Trism is a kind of Bejeweld for the iPhone, The object of Trism is to get three consecutive triangles of the same color along with the blocks falling according to the way your iPhone/iPod Touch is tilted. You can watch a video of the demo of Trism on the iPhone to see how it all works at youtube.

Migration - Flash maze puzzle game

Via Puzzlinks I found a nice version of a maze puzzle game. The combination between the maze and the real life is in my opinion very thought through.

The object of Migration is to move a gnu to an oasis across a field of varied terrain. Gnus can only move to a zone of the appropriate season, as denoted by sky color. Seasons go Spring (green) -> Summer (yellow) -> Autumn (red) -> Winter (blue) -> Spring. Each time the gnu moves, the season progresses.

In the beginning it’s a simple maze but it gets a bit more challenging at the 10th level when you have to control more than one gnu. Now you can move either gnu as you choose and moving either will advance the season for both. Click on a zone to move an adjacent gnu there. Click on a gnu to give it movement priority. Gnus can only move to a zone of the appropriate season, as denoted by sky color. Seasons go Spring (green) -> Summer (yellow) -> Autumn (red) -> Winter (blue) -> Spring. The level is beaten when one gnu is on each oasis. Arrows change level. U-turn arrow undoes last movement. Circular arrow restarts. Happy Puzzling

If you like Bloxorz and have an iPhone you can now play Loocube. At the WeiPhone.com website you can find the release for this very addictive puzzle game variant of Bloxorz. The goal of Loocube (also called Loo) is to get your block in the little hole, just as in Bloxorz. The game is also exactly the same as Cubicman but has much nicer graphics.

BLockoban - Flash Puzzle Game

At Bonuslevel.org you can find several kind of puzzles games. One of them is BLockoban. BonusLevel is started as a project by Wouter Visser (Wouter), Tõnu Paldra (tonypa) and Jean-Philippe Sarda (JP) and now relying on its community to add new levels and new games.

Gameplay of BLockoban is easy: move the colored tiles to the corresponding targets of the same color. Hold down the mouse button over a colored tile, choose the direction and release the button. In total there are 66 levels of BLockoban to Solve.

Beside playing games in BonusLevel, you are invited to give your own contribution too since all the games are provided with a level editor and you can design your own levels to any game. Once they are accepted, your levels can be played and rated by everyone.

Dr. Membrain - Sliderama is a nice little Flash based Flash puzzle game developed by Reflexive.

Game play is easy: grab and move groups of balls by clicking and holding down the left mouse button while you move the mouse. The goal is to match the colored balls with target locations of the same color. There are in total ten different kind of levels to solve. Happy Puzzling!

Bomboozle - Flash Puzzle Game

At the end of last year I wrote about Perplex and suggested the designer of Perplex to make an online version in Flash as it is much more accessible. Today I recieved an email from Mike the Perplex designer that he made a Flash version of Perplex, this time the puzzle game is called Bomboozle.

BomBoozle game play is the same as in Perplex. Find a group of three or more blobs of the same color and draw (a line with the pencil) connecting them by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Then let the mouse button go (or click again) to make the selected blobs explode and those above drop down. Groups of six or more blobs are rewarded with a bomb (click on it for maximum carnage). The multi colored wildcard blobs will match any color, so use them wisely. The game will end when there are no more groups or bombs on the game board. So plan each move with care. You can play BomBoozle in three different game modes: Infinite, Timed and Skull.

KenKen Puzzles (Sudoku Variant)

KenKen Puzzles are created by Japanese educator Tetsuya Miyamoto set to be the successor to Sudoku.

KenKen puzzles can be solved by combining the four main mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. To train the brain the puzzles are offered without any instruction. There are important keys to be found but no fixed starting place and no method of progression that can be learnt as a strategy. The brain is forced to dart between competing theories. It's impossible to solve KenKen puzzles without the scientific process of trial and error and that's the rational behind KenKen puzzles.

World Sudoku Championship 2008 Puzzles

The 3rd World Sudoku Puzzle Championship (WSC) is happening as we type in Goa, India.
