The Megaminx has always eluded as far as the solution goes. I don’t know what it is about it, maybe it is the many sides or the fact that I don’t think logically. Twisty Puzzling has put out a very good solution to it in 4 parts and I will take out my megaminx and try to solve it with the solution in front of me. Maybe that will help.
You can purchase the Megaminx at Puzzle Master.

Nothing screams “physics” like gears. Cogs is a ground breaking and high quality puzzle game in which players are players use sliding 2D and 3D tiles to create complex machines. The player starts the game in an “Inventor Mode”. Here, the player learns to use the machine building widget available; i.e. balloons, gears, hammers, chimes, pipes, props, wheel, etc. Each puzzle that they complete in this mode is automatically open in the next mode – Time Challenge Mode.
In time challenge mode, the player gets to play the puzzles unlocked from the previous mode. The player has to find a [Read More...]
Hex Maze comes from Xia Pei Ming. It’s not a maze. There’s nothing maze-y about it! I suspect that the author used ‘maze’ as a synonym for puzzle.
Rearrange the tiles so that each one has the correct number of tiles surrounding it. For example, do you see the yellow 2? It’s good because it’s next to 2 tiles. Red means that too many tiles are touching it. Green – not enough tiles.
We’ve seen this type of puzzle many times before with a rectangular grid. So it’s nice to see this. Also, the graphics are good.

In the video is the world record holder Feliks Zemdegs and his time of 5.882 seconds on the Rubik’s 3x3x3. That is quite an impressive time. I’m sure he must be able to slow down time to accomplish this. My hands don’t even move that fast, let alone my brain thinking that fast.
You can purchase a 3x3x3 rotational puzzle at Puzzle Master.

Meffert’s Pyraminx doesn’t need any introductions when it comes to successful Twisty Puzzles. Not everyone knows this, but the Pyraminx was actually the first ever Twisty puzzle to be invented, back in 1970, four years before the Rubik’s Cube. Over 40 years later, the puzzle is still going strong as the second best-selling puzzle in the world. I guess people still prefer cubes over pyramids…
With all this popularity, it’s not a surprise knowing that there are too many Pyraminx versions and variations that cannot simply be count by the fingers of your hands. My latest acquisition is [Read More...]
