Every Saturday a Dutch newspaper called NRC publishes a special Sudoku.
A normal Sudoku consists of 9 squares (3 by 3) but the NRC Sudoku has 13 squares which all must be filled with the digits 1 till 9. By using 13 squares they can create Sudoku’s with not more than eleven clues to start with.

Finally you can register for the European Rubik’s Cube Championship 2006 via speedcubing.com.
I already announced this in a previous post that more information should be available end of April but with a little delay you can now register for the European Rubik’s Cube Championship 2006 until the 8th of September 2006.

The last days were pretty busy at work, but I found some time to start with the birthday present Katamino from last weekend.
The first Katamino solutions for Penta 3 and Penta 4 [pdf format 280kb] I solved very quickly if I may say so, although it costs me still a lot of time to pick the correct Pentaminos (puzzle pieces are called Pentaminos) before starting to solve each puzzle.
