While doing some research about the readers of this puzzle blog I found a report from Telephia.
They found out that puzzle and strategy games drive one-third of the total mobile games revenues. This alone is not very interesting but as the report continuous they state that Mobile games appeal to women. Sixty-five percent of mobile game revenue is driven by female wireless subscribers and they are the biggest drivers of revenue for the Puzzle Strategy category; comprising 72 percent of the total share revenue, while men made up 28 percent of the revenue.

Andy Camann solved during a Rubik’s Cube Marathon 300 times within 2 hours (that’s a 24 seconds average!).
Andy Camann has vowed to solve Rubik’s cubes at the Newton Highlands Village Day event on June 11, 2006 raising money for the Matty Eappen Foundation, whose goal is to educate the public about the dangers of shaking a child.
Andy’s target was to raise $ 2,500.00. Until now he raised $2,679.00. Happy Puzzling!

For all puzzlers with a passion for Rubik’s Cube there are now software versions (Java, Linux, Windows) available of Rubik’s Cube in four-dimensional and in five-dimensional and they are called Magic Cube.
The four-dimensional version has over 1.75E120 possible combination’s and is available for free for both Windows and Linux users. They even published their source code for download.
This amazing piece of work I found via The Goldfish Online. As well as Martin James Howard from the Goldfish Online as Maarten Steurbaut build a working Rubik’s Cube by using Lego and are both AFOL’s (Adult Fans Of Lego).
Maarten explains on his website by using a lot of pictures how he designed and build his Rubik’s Cube which weights more than 6 kg (6.6 pounds) and in still able to rotate.
