Majesco Entertainment Company today announced Toon-Doku for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Dragon’s Den Unlimited, Toon-Doku will offer fun, cartoon picture-based puzzles in addition to traditional number-based Sudoku puzzles when it ships this April.

Toon-Doku is the answer for Sudoku fans looking for something different and younger players looking for a less intimidating puzzler. Last week Kakuro Mini is released for Windows Mobile Devices, and the best thing is that it is for free.

Via su.doku.es I found another variant of the famous Sudoku puzzles. It’s called Pandigital Sudoku.

Object is  to fill in the Sudoku grid so that every row, every column, and every 3 x 3 box contains the digits 1 through 9. These are the original Sudoku rules. Additional the rows form 9 correct arithmetic expressions reading from left to right.

Recently I noticed in my website statistics some people coming from a Spanish weblog su.doku.es.

Here I found another example of a Sudoku variant called Domino Sudoku. Although the text is in Spanish I don’t think an explanation on how to solve this Domino Sudoku is necessary.
